House Washing in Clovelly

Clovelly is dominated by rendered flat-roof homes and semis around a sheltered bay, with plenty of paved courtyards and tiled terraces.

Why Clovelly homes need house washing

The sheltered bay traps humid, salty air with little drying wind, so flat roofs and paved courtyards hold moisture and grow a slick green film.

Sea mist leaves an invisible salt film that keeps walls damp long after the rain stops, and mould feeds on exactly that. Soft washing removes the film and the growth together rather than just rinsing the surface.

How we clean it

This is true soft washing: a low-pressure application that does the work chemically rather than mechanically, so render, paint, weatherboard and window seals are never driven with high pressure.
